Pastor Mike & Tranette were pastoring in Bigfork, MN when Mike felt a call to Cloquet. At the same time, Abundant Life Church in Hibbing was also looking to plant a church from scratch -that means no baggage, no history, lots of opportunity. They teamed up & Good Hope Church was launched on 10/10/2010. Good Hope averaged 70 people in 2010. Two years later, it averaged 116 people & bought the building that was being rented. 2 years and 3 services later with an average attendance of 401 in 2017, Good Hope planted its first co-location in Morgan Park. This location paused during Covid and hasn’t started back up yet. In 2021, Good Hope took on Eagle’s Landing  Assembly of God in Ball Club, MN as a mission’s location. At the end of 2023, Pastor Mike transitioned his role at Good Hope to focus on the development of church planters & planting more Good Hope locations. Daniel Stevens became the Lead Pastor of the Cloquet location. In the spring of 2024, Good Hope planted a co-location in the Lester Park area of Duluth called Good Hope Lakeside. More locations are in the works!
